Planning a wedding from afar

Planning a wedding in Port Douglas when you live in Sydney can be a little tricky, and our bride Melissa was a little apprehensive about ordering her flowers over the phone and via email. Fortunately, we’re great listeners and she was delighted with the final product. She was also a pleasure to deal with – thanks so much for choosing Floral Edge!

“Michele – you were so fabulous to work with.  I can’t believe what beautiful flower arrangements you put together  for the bridal party and reception.  You obviously can understand a brief via email! When planning a wedding from interstate there is always the worry people may not understand what you’re looking for but I can say you all completely nailed it.  It made our day, we had nothing to worry about and just had the best time.”

Decorating your wedding reception venue

Incorporating your wedding bouquets into your bridal table is a great way to get the most out of your blooms and let your floral theme and colour scheme flow through to your reception.

Wedding table centrepieces Port Douglas-style

While you never want to take too much focus away from the happy couple, nothing adds more sparkle to a reception or bridal table than exquisite flowers.

Fish bowl centrepieces at The Sea Temple

For this gorgeous wedding, we lined fishbowls with Monsteria leaf, and added three types of roses – Honeymoon (creamy beige), Bianca Candy (pale pink) and Cezanne (pale pink and green) Ecuador Roses. Vibernum foliage and green trick really brought out the beautiful blooms.
